THE UNIVERSE, PYRAMIDS AND THE VEDAS

In certain controversial matters I often hold very strong views, on basis of my general understanding and reasoning. Even if the general scientific community goes against my views, I feel sure that my understanding is correct and one day will be corroborated, by those who does the real hard work and research in search of truth. Then I read up on the subject and do not modify my views unless I am convinced that it needs to be done, on basis of hard facts. Some of these views I hold are:

1. Evolution of Intelligence in the Universe is a fundamental activity of Nature. There is an Intelligence vector embedded in Nature, which can be called the Latent Cosmic Intelligence. All intelligences in the Universe including that of Humans, are integral part of this Cosmic Intelligence/Consciousness. We are in fact Active manifestation of the same Latent Cosmic Intelligence.

2. The scientific study of Astrology, will lead to better understanding of 'Time'. Till now we have no understanding of this essential component of Existence/reality. I have repeatedly seen and know for sure that Indian Astrology is able to predict future events and also able to look back on past happenings of individuals; even though in an imprecise manner. The study of Astrology one day will open up new windows for science and lead to better understanding of 'Time'.

3. That the pyramids were built 12500 years ago, when the star Vega was the pole star. The long passage in the north face of the Great Pyramid, was Exactly pointed at Vega when it was built.( The precession of the earth's axis due to its rotation, brings Vega to the pole position every 26000 years.) The pyramid was built, with embedded scientific/mathematical codes in its dimensions and its orientation, to pass-on information about their level of knowledge and technology to future human civilisations(to us). They might have done this when they saw that natural or cosmic calamities were sure to destroy their Highly developed civilisation. The story of Noah's Arc and similar tale in Hindu Mythology about saving of species from total destruction, perhaps relates to that very same calamity.
(I have recently found support in a new article I read, which states that Earth's temperature rose by 16 degrees in a span of 50years, around 12500 years back and the resulting repeated tsunami inundations could have totally wiped out most of the then existing civilisations, which inhabited near the sea shore- because of the extreme conditions prevailing elsewhere due to the ice age.)

4. The Hymns of Rig-Veda, some of which are over 10000 years old, are little understood in terms of its scientific content. The knowledge about the origin of the Universe, age of the Universe, the description of a weapon named Brahmashtra in the Mahabharata so exactly similar to the Hydrogen Bomb, the unique verbal-coded method by which all the 10000 verses of the Rig-Veda has been preserved error free (zero-error) even through periods when the written script had perished; are all remnant of a Great old civilization. The origin of these ancient hymns and the builders of the Great Pyramids, could have been compatriot civilizations some 12500 years ago . It also appears that while the builders of the Pyramids gave great stress to material sciences, the Vedic Civilisation was based on the powers of meditation, contemplation and reasoning to unravel secrets of Nature.

5. The Big Bang theory and the forever expanding universe is not the correct explanation of origin of the Universe. It is more of a illusion to Human Understanding and at best is only a small part of the total picture of Existence. The ever expanding Universe with no end is absolutely unacceptable as a concept. The universe is both Eternal as well as having Finite life span. It is subject to never ending cycles of Births and Deaths and each new birth brings forth a different New Universe with different set of laws.It is plausible that the purpose of Creation of Intelligence and its evolvement in the Universe, is for playing a crucial part in this drama of Birth and Death of the Universe.

6. That our progress on Earth has been closely monitored by alien intelligence since long and now at the moment when we have stepped into space and have started playing with Nuclear forces, we are being closely watched. We may even get a helping hand, albeit reluctantly, if we are unable to stop our extinction from our follies/ inability to manage our environment.

The ill understood field of Astronomy, The Great Pyramid and The Rig-Veda; all are remnants of another glorious age on Human Civilisation now perished. They are likely to have come in contact with Extraterrestrial intelligences from time to time; as the texts of the old Epics, Religious Books, scripts etc suggest. Human beings have been on Earth for a very long time with mental abilities as developed as ours today. There very likely been many cycles of advanced technical civilisations that came into existence in limited localities, but subsequently perished.

DANGER FROM RADIOACTIVITY

Dangers from Redioactive fallout and contamination has remained a hot topic, since the days of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They say that familiarity breeds contempt. With so much being written, most people now tend to push the subject away after scanning the headlines. Perhaps a few who are not yet familiar with the subject and few others interested in the theoretical side of the content care to read such articles.
Even those of us who understand the science of it, tend to push the subject under the carpet and avoid getting involved in a heavy subject. After all in the last 70 years no catastrophe has taken place : humanity is still alive, so why bother so much. Its like people getting complacent living atop a volcanic zone, when the volcano has remained dorment for a long; though fully aware at the back of their mind that the sleeping volcano will some day again erupt.
Today nations are going overboard adopting the nuclear option, as a sorce of energy, which at first sight looks so attractive as a replacement to environment degrading fossil fuels.Nothing is far from the truth. We are infact trading away one danger for a far far greater one. One against which humanity has no defence. The crisis from burning of fossil fuel has taken few centuries to crystallise into a life theatrening situation. And may be with sane and unified action a part of humanity will survive this crisis, during this century. Use of nuclear energy is not amongst the Sane actions I am talking of, it is infact just the opposite: Insane. If the use of nuclear fuel proliferate, we may have to come face to face with posssibility of partial or total Extiction of life on Earth, within a century or may be even less. May be a US President can survive with his few aids and specimen of a few men and women, in the elaborate bunkers, dug under some remote mountain for a few years, required for the radioactivity to come down to tolerable levels. Though even that will be very difficult and likely to fail. For rest of Humanity and Animal life, there would be no chance of survival, if the fallout is very high.
The decision makers of many leading nations who are advocating use of Nuclear fuel are infact Advocates for Extermination of Life. The life that has been created over billions of years in this rare planet, can get exterminated in a flash (so to speak), if any largescale accident takes place. This can happen from spilling of underground stored Spent Fuel in an volcanic erruption or in an earthquake, enemy rockets destroying a chain of Nuclear insallations, a Mateor falling on a Large Nuclear Power plant or from starting of an uncontrollable nuclear war (despite all calculated safety norms). There is no objection in use of this energy source in small scales like in long distance submarines, long life space stations and rockets, in reaserch centres or for medical purpose etc. We may even need large H-Bombs to destroy or divert large chunks of Meteors that might come our way or for mining in other planets or other future unforeseen purposes. The Nuclear reactor or bomb technologies are not to be maligned. But concentration and large scale use of redioactive material on Earth,s surface must be avided at all cost.

For those who are unable to visualise the true nature of the calamity that may be awaiting us, I recommend them to read a beautiful novel named 'ON THE BEACH' by Nevil Shute, written after the 2nd world war. ( I caution -Not to be read by people in a depressed or weak state of mind). It should not be considered as an old book. It is and will remain contemporary forever; as long as humans live. It might lead to nightmares, might bring one face to face with abyss of loneliness, but it is worth it. Nevil Shute is a master writter and one is not likely to forget lessons from the book ever.

Endless bounty of life nurturing Sunlight is passing by us untapped. The wind, the sea waves and the flowing waters of great rivers are all there to fill the gap, till the time scintists are able to harness the non-polluting eternal souce of FUSION POWER, in the foreseeble future. The required technology is also there which has also become cost effective now. Yet nations including our own are opting for the Kiss Of Death. Call it Fatal Attraction or Death Wish.

The environmental challege placed by nature in our path of progress is not only a challege of finding Energy Souce; it is much deeper. The world has been put into a situation where we have no other option, but to take unified action as one body. Responsibility, not only for survival and progress of Human- Beings, but for all life forms; the total Genetic pool on Earth is sqarely on us. The ball is now in our court. We have to outgrow from the shakles of cvonventional religions tenets, which might hamper our decision making. Let this be a second Rennaisance for humanity. Without being a truly scintificaly oriented civilisation we cannot survive. We have to replace the God of various religions, with the common man's God, which is nothing other than the power and wonder of Nature. Persuing pure science or mathematics gives as much understanding of the God of Nature, as a precher or purohit feels. This God understand only the language of reason. This God has now given us an independent brain with enough intelligence and has put the challege of survival before us.It is upto us, whether to prosper into a space faring civilisation or to destry ourselves.

POWER OF IMAGINATION IS THE HALLMARK OF HUMAN CIVILISATION

Which is the greatest expression of Human Imagination and Audacity; the one object which can express the strength of the Human race better than any other means? There is no doubt that it is the great pyramid. If humanity and life vanishes from earth and an alien space faring race sets their feet (?) here one day; the battered-silent standing pyramid will tell them the strength of the race that once inhabited this planet. When they realise that Humans Dared to Imagine and Build this object at a time, when the only machines at their disposal were the Lever, the Pulley, the inclined plane and some simple hand tools, they will marvel at the Audacity of this extinct race, which arose and died on this unknown planet. They will cry out in anguish at the loss of a species of great potential.

Yes the first thing that comes to ones mind when one look at the Great Pyramid, is the Audacity of Imagination of the Human race.

The same grand-audacity, reflecting the same spark, has again come to life in very recent time; showing that the Human race is alive and kicking. The first one is the declaration of President Kennedy in 1961 that America will put man on the Moon in ten years, which culminated in Neil Armstrong setting foot on the satellite on July 20th’1969.

The other instance is the development of the Atomic Bomb at Los Alamos, again by America during the war-years, starting from an as yet little understood mere Formula of Einstein; E = mc2.

While nothing has surpassed the Pyramid in Grand Imagination and Audacity, there are other aspects in which the two modern day achievements show greater human maturity. Both the modern projects have come to life through pooling of knowledge and intelligence of a significantly large group of people, each of whom can be treated as a unique genius. These achievements were possible despite many members of the group often holding divergent and opposing ideas, both on theoretical ground as well as on practical implementation. Yet they were able to thrash out the path of clarity from the divergent ideas and achieve the monumental tasks set before them.

The other difference with the pyramid is that while the old one is more of a sign-post of Human capability or a monument to past glory; the new ones are stepping stones on a path which is leading us today to a New Horizon of unparalleled possibilities.

Human Race has great potential. We are yet to set our feet among the other intelligences of our Galaxy and test our strength. But I do feel confident that when that time comes in not too distant a future, we shall be able to stand on our own feet and create our distinct identity amongst the Galactic community.

Despite such achievements, today we face on this planet the greatest of challenges that we are ever likely to face; our own survival. And this time it cannot be achieved only by a small group of geniuses. First of all everyone must be aware about the very fragile balance of our thin ecosystem. And then everyone: Geniuses, Intelligentsia, Politicians, Industrialists, Bureaucrats, Artists, Farmers, white-collar workers, International bodies; every human being and organization must participate as one in this effort. Awareness is the key to our survival.

ASTROLOGY THE GATEWAY TO FUTURE PHYSICS

Our Astrologer, who had prepared our Horoscopes was a lanky man who could afford only two pieces of cloth to wear. A white rough long-cloth (Dhoti) covered him from his waist to the knees and the other an ocre coloured cloth with slokas from Vedas printed thereon, covering his shoulders. He walked bare feet through muddy village roads. He accepted without looking at the sum being offered by the families he visited occasionally, in token o his services. The thought of being poverty-struck never occurred to him, for he valued his knowledge of Astrology, which he acquired in traditional learning centers of Varanasi; the city that has preserved the old vedic ways and its Sanskrit language.

I remember my father a school teacher with barely enough to maintain his family, laughing together with the Astrologer over a glass of tea, when he predicted that I would soon go to a foreign place for some years. It was nothing but a joke for someone who could hardly afford a bus ride to the nearest big-town 60kms away. Yet after the tea, he told my parents to be ready as it must come true. As it happened about a month later a young college professor who knew us brought a form, filed it up and asked my father to sign. In a few months time, after two consecutive exams six students out of thousand applicants won scholarship from Govt of India, to study in costly Prestigious schools. My school was thousands of miles away, where the language, culture and people were all foreign to us, even though it lay within the geographic limits of India. I was indeed in a foreign land for the next seven years. Neither my father nor the Astrologer had ever heard about such scholarships. Yet this person, just by calculating from the position of certain heavenly bodies at the moment of my birth, could predict correctly or in other words, could look ahead into time. Ask a Physicist, and to him this is such an impossibility that he will look down upon you and consider you superstitious.

This is just one instance I am telling as an example. There has been many predictions from him. What will the basic mental makeup of each of our brothers, which direction will be the house and what profession would be of the person to whom our elder sister would get married, when should my father be ready for his likely last hour, when I would fall sick while staying 2000 miles away from home etc etc. Most if not all have come true. Not only for us, but this is true for thousands of families, who have qualified and experienced Astrologers to consult. Later in my life, I have had prediction from other Astrologers regarding nature of my sons, my difficulties in my career etc.

I have been a student of physics and got my Masters Degree from a respectable university. Prior to my college education with Physics, I considered Astrologer's predictions just as something that was available if you wanted, without thinking much about what and how about it. But after studying Physics, I was astounded by this ability to calculate out events in future, even though in an imprecise general manner, from the position of certain celestial bodies.

Should we discard Astrology as superstitious humbug or is the secret of "Time" hidden in the folds of this little understood subject, whose antiquity is equally unknown.

DANGER TO INDIA FROM OVER THE HIMALAYAS

"At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.".. Those are the famous words of Jawaharlal Nehru at midnight 14th August'1947.
Alas today when the world is wide awake even at midnight, India sleeps even in the harsh sunlight of midday.

Today when the whole world is awake and alert to the amassed power and ever expansionist designs of China; India, the country most vulnerable to the fire-spewing Dragon, is in a deep uncaring sleep. If one looks at their long term preparations, Arunachal Pradesh and probably whole of north-east, will be in their occupation within 5 years. This time around USA will neither have the influence nor capability to push back China from Assam, as it did last time in 1962.

Our central government in Delhi, and their brokers do-not care to see beyond kick-back money. The bureaucrats will not lift their stranglehold over defense purchases. They are not blind. They can very well see the muzzle thrust over the Himalayas at India. But they do not loose their sleep. The sane people within and outside the Indian military establishment, are in a state of utter helplessness, aware of the imminent dangers.

Whatever little steps we are taking in armouring our defense forces are too little too late. There is no sense of national urgency to build defense production capability and developing indigenous technology. While Indian companies languish, precious money flows into the coffers of foreign companies on purchases of second-hand-second grade equipment, often outdated by the time it is introduced. A pathetic show of developing a mere Battle Tank is an example of what our capabilities are. Thanks to one supportive defense minister and a free hand to Prof. Abdul Kalam, that we have at least a few missiles to show off. But their numbers are also totally inadequate, against a vastly superior Chinese invading forces.

We all know that the greatest wealth of any nation is the spin-off technologies derived from defense-research and Space-research and therefore every penny invested in research will pay back the nation ten times; besides saving it from the enemies, who rightly perceive us as a weak target.

INDIA TOO MUST BE BOLD AND IMAGINATIVE

India is frittering away an opportunity that has come its way after an eternity. This is the time to think big, like China is doing. It has to move away from perpetual dependency on others for defense technology. Along with space industry this is where lies the advantage of developing cutting edge technology of our own. India desperately needs the strength to keep at bay the duel menace of Pakistan and China. This time round if China occupies Arunachal and Assam, USA will not have enough power to Make it go back, as it did the last time in 1962. India has to first stand on its own legs, like Isriel has done.

This is also the moment when India should choose to increase the share of Renewable energy in a big way. Not only for environmental concerns alone, but for its clear advantages within the next decades and for a sustainable strong future. Humans must stop Harakiri of Life on earth by embarking on Nuclear fuel. It should be the last resort, in absence of any other options and only as a stop gap, before  it is able to harness the power of fusion.

Manmohan Singh is a great economist and a statesman, but appears to lack the strength of conviction born out of  Scientific temperament. Time is running out.

OUR INHERITTENCE

WE started this journey on the planet Earth 4.5 billion year ago. Even by cosmic scale this is a very long period. This epic endeavour of nature for creating higher intelligence has succeeded, despite the bombarding astoroids, comets and cosmic rays: despite the reversals of magnetic poles, despite the intemittent killing Ice-Ages. From premordial semi-living molecules, to bacteria, to reptiles, to vertebrates and to Homo-Sepians we have come a long way, even by cosmic standards. If this life cum intelligence chain should come to an end today, it cannot be repeated again. The Earth has lost its vigour of youth and cannot provide the dynamic environment required to regenerate this level of intelligence again. The sun also has only 4 to 5 billion years of life span left, before it becomes unstable and baloons into a Red-Giant. Alas today our ancestors who fought valiant battles with the intense-prolonged ice ages, with the draught induced desert-famine periods, heroically survived the earth innundating great floods, fouught and won against fierce animals and survived many many more difficult eons of climatic severity, are no more there to tell their story. We owe to them our adaptability and our intelligence. --- Yet at the very first step of our new journey that nature wants us to take on our own, we are proving ourselves incapable of safekeeping of our great heritage. All that has been passed down by our great ancestors, we are destroying in an instant, with our greed, irresponsibility and myopic sight. We have been unable to choose suitable leaders for running the machinery of human affairs on earth.
Let us come out of our shells, raise our voice, add our contribution individually, in a last ditch effort to save the life sustaining cocoon of our planet; or else resign ourselves to cataclysmic disaster galloping towards us. It is our children who will bear the brunt, for we will be blissfully gone by then, beyond the reach of remorse.
